Grayline Website

Gray Line Australia is a long established Australian owned premium sightseeing company. The Driver Family has been operating since 1931 and have a fleet of over 85 vehicles with operations in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Tasmania, Cairns, Perth, Alice Springs, Darwin, Brisbane and Gold Coast.

My objective was to enhance the look, feel as well as functionality of their current website to improve visitor interaction and increase sales conversion. Providing visitors with an interesting credible experience in the process.

Corporate Image

The humble business card is often said to be the most important marketing tool you’ll ever use. So with that in mind I went with a narrow design and a spot UV. Opting for a very simple logo ‘hey I couldn’t really go crazy being a design myself now could I’ Also pictured is a logo + business card I developed for a company that offers writing and editing services ’Word Has It’ a website is also in production.

Many companies, such as McDonald’s and Electronic Arts, have their own identity that runs through all of their products and merchandise. The trademark “M” logo and the yellow and red appears consistently throughout the McDonald’s packaging and advertisements. Many companies pay large amounts of money for an identity that is extremely distinguishable, so it can appeal more to its targeted audience.

The Square Red Book

Well what can I say an ‘open brief’ and a client with an ‘open mind’. Perfect for a designer I would say. So from start to finish this was a great project although there was a great deal of graphs and tables to make look attractive.

Thanks to Apple and ’Numbers’ charts and graphs are made easy (well once you get the hang of it anyway).

Another tight deadline had me working all night but the result was worth it for my client and myself. See a full copy (PDF) on The Victorian Litter Action Alliance website.

BIG Industrial Design

OK this one was HUGE, I was contacted to produce artwork for one section of a large industrial product catalogue.

Well little did I know I’d end up doing all the repro on 1,500 pages and a re-design of the covers. This involved project management, getting 10,000 images print ready and so on........

Allfasteners are a great client to work with and the result was epic (think Yellow Pages).

Players Guide

The brief was simple: A5 booklet - 28 pages, Corporate look, Colour (black and yellow are the Gamblers Help colours).

There was a very very tight ‘2 week’ turn around for design/layout, production and printing of 3000 booklets eeeeek....

Well, I met the timeline thanks to a great print rep and the client was very happy. So this was a nice quick professional job for me.

Disability Services Guide

‘A4 PDF. The font needs to be in size 14 and black to ensure it’s readable to people with visual impairments. Blues can be used elsewhere in the brochure but reds, oranges, pinks and yellows are definite no no’s. Images/photographs will not be used’.

A very limiting brief for any designer!!!!

So after more than a little head scratching I came up with 3 concepts and we worked them down to a final design simple and stylish...... 64 pages of active links later another job well done.
